According to M Jagadesh Kumar, the UGC Chief, the results of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) UG 2023 are anticipated to be announced by July 15. Once available, candidates can check their results and also access the answer key on the official website cuet.samarth.ac.in.
Initially, the results were expected to be declared around June 20, but the timeline was extended to the first week of July. This year, the CUET-UG received over 14 lakh applications, which is a significant increase of 41% compared to its first edition last year.
The delay in result processing by the National Testing Agency (NTA) is attributed to the complexity of the process. While the entrance test itself is computer-based, the backend processing for result announcement is time-consuming.
Once the answer key challenge is concluded, experts review the feedback and finalize the answer keys. This evaluation involves analyzing question paper answer keys from various subjects, which takes several days.
The NTA then prepares normalized scores for all candidates, which requires time due to the large amount of data involved. These scores are carefully verified to ensure accuracy.
Despite the wait for results, it is important to acknowledge the thoroughness of the process in order to maintain fairness and accuracy.
Candidates are advised to remain patient and await the official announcement of the CUET-UG 2023 results, which are expected to be released on or before July 15.
