The syllabi and scheme of assessment of General English, Urdu and Hindi for Class 10 will remain the same.
The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has made changes to the Class 9 and 10 syllabi and assessment schemes.
For Class 10, the syllabi for Mathematics, Science, and Social Science have been adjusted, but the assessment scheme remains unchanged. However, the syllabi and assessment scheme for General English, Urdu, and Hindi in Class 10 remain the same.
In Class 9, the syllabi for Mathematics, Science, and Social Science have been modified, and the assessment scheme has been updated as per NEP 2020. But for General English, Urdu, and Hindi in Class 9, the syllabi remain the same, while the assessment scheme has been revised according to NEP 2020.
Changes have also been made to the assessment scheme for additional/optional subjects and subjects for Children with Special Needs (CWSN) in Classes 9 and 10, aligning them with NEP 2020.
The question papers for the annual (regular) exams in March-April 2024 will follow the revised assessment scheme and syllabi. However, separate question papers will be provided for additional/optional subjects and CWSN subjects, adhering to both old and new assessment schemes as per BOSE norms.
